Just One more day

Well Christmas is all done with. We had a great Holiday but there was a little part of me that was thinking "Hurry up already" I really tried to slow down and enjoy it though. The past couple of days have been a blur of errands, appointments and packing. Its almost 5pm on Monday and we leave first thing in the morning. I'm really amazed at how much stuff we can fit in that mini-van. The biggest help was the vacuum sealer bags. WOW does that make a difference. I highly recommend it! Sam and Parker could not be more excited which makes all the hard work and stress totally worth it! Little do they know that we will not be arriving in Florida for a couple of more days!!! We are taking our time getting down there. Tuesday we will drive about 8 hours and spend the night in Kentucky. Wednesday about 7 hours and end up in Georgia and then Thursday we only have to drive about 5 hours and will end up in St Pete. Nate's Grandma, two Aunts and a bunch of cousins live there so we will spend New Years with them and then head to Orlando on the 2nd of January. So packing was a bit tricky....One suitcase for the hotels on the drive down, another for St Pete and then a bazillion huge tubs for the stay in Orlando. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit nervous about the drive. The boys have been in such great moods though and have really been behaving and getting along good (perhaps a little Christmas present they arranged for us??). I'm going to miss my little house and all my friends and family but that is what Facebook is for right:) I am adding this picture of our "Florida Countdown" hard to believe I started this thing 99 days ago. Everyday the boys and I cross off a day and then ALL day they talk about how many days until Florida. It actually ended up being a good way to practice their numbers! I'm going to have to keep in though because it brings me such good memories!

2 Weeks till "Go Time"

Obviously we have been planning this trip to Florida for a while. I wasn't sure if the boys would really get that into going or if it was just gibber jabber in their ear from me. Well I have a countdown on the Fridge and every morning they come running out and ask "How many days until Florida"??? And probably 2-3 times a day Parker says "Mom, we are going to Florida tomorrow". I have to admit their excitement is very contagious!!!

Today I showed them pictures of the house we rented in Orlando. They already claimed which bed is "theirs" and Parker was telling me where he wanted to put his toys. They informed me that they will be eating breakfast every morning @ the table next to the pool. When they saw the "game room" with the pool table and Air Hockey they both said at the same time "Just like at Chuck E Cheese".

I'm wondering if they are going to be bummed to come back to our little house in GR because I have a feeling I just might be!!! Ha!

Our soon to be New Home.....for a little while at least!

This is my family!!!
This Blog is going to be about us! If you don't like us, then you REALLY don't want to read it!!! We are about to embark on a MAJOR road trip! We live in MI and we loathe the winter. I know I know, move......well its not that easy. We have lots of family and friends around here and it would be VERY hard to leave them. Since the boys are still young and not in school, I'm not working and my husband can pretty much work remotely from anywhere we have decided to become "Snowbirds" this year. The term is usually reserved for "Old Folks" that head south for the winter. So December 29th we are OUT of here and won't be back until February! Woo Hoo! Sounds like fun, and I'm sure it will be. However we are only 2 1/2 weeks away and I have so much to do. Who's idea was it to leave four days after Christmas? Oh yes, that would be mine!
