Traverse City

We are home, unpacked and already missing vacation. We got super busy up there and the weather turned Gorgeous so I quite blogging and just enjoyed the trip. Monday afternoon Gary and Keri came up. We went out to dinner that night and then they took Kylie to the Drive-in movies and we all hung out back at the cottage. Tuesday Keri and I took all 3 of the kids into town. We went to lunch at OG which Sam and Parks LOVED. They had never ate at Olive Garden before and gobbled it up. Then we went to The Old Navy outlet store up there. Everything in the store was 40% off. Needless to say we spent about 2 hours in that store. The kids were so good and had fun watching me and Keri go nuts. I got a bunch of sweatshirts and tshirts for me and a bunch of stuff for the boys. Tuesday night Gary took the boys, me and Keri and Kylie out for a boat ride. Sam was SUPER nervous but ended up doing great. He was yelling "faster faster" after a few minutes out on the water!!

Wednesday was really nice up there so we spent the day outside. Nate came up at like Noon and we all played in the water and ended up having a water balloon fight. It was hilarious! Gary and Keri left because they had to go back to work. Thursday and Friday were PERFECT weather. The water was still a little chilly BUT it was warm out so the kids enjoyed it. My Dad took the kids out on his boat both days and taught the kids how to fish. All 3 of kids caught fish and they did awesome on the boat. It's in their blood so I wasn't surprised.

I cannot say enough good things about this vacation. I feel very lucky to have such a great family. I thought spending an entire week together would be way too much "together time" but it was just the opposite. I was so sad to leave. Sam cried when we had to leave. He kept saying that he didn't want to leave "HIS" cottage. Can't wait to do it again next year!

By the way I have NO idea why all that writing is in blue and underlined? Crazy. Anyways get ready for a bizillion pictures!!!
