Packing up....

Could it be? Time to leave already??? Noooooooooooo

It amazes me how fast a month can happen. We are leaving EARLY tomorrow morning. Today we swam a little this morning and then we have been packing, doing laundry and being lazy. I'm so not ready for the cold weather:( I am ready to get home and back to our normal routine though. I miss our little house, my friends, spending time with my Mom and doing all our "normal" things. If only life was a big ole vacation.....I'm NOT looking forward to that cold weather.

We are driving about 10 hours tomorrow and hope to arrive in Murfreesboro TN with enough time to hit the pool get some dinner and then sleep for a bit before we have another LONG day of driving on Monday.

I am however looking forward to my own bed though. Nothing feels as good as your own bed! I think Nate might be ready to get back in the office again, not sure on that one. Sam and Parker are looking forward to all their Christmas toys that are sitting at home waiting for them:)

Cocoa Beach.....ahhhhhh

So we decided yesterday to take the kids to the beach. We picked Cocoa beach because it was only an hour and a half away and looked really pretty online. We were TOTALLY impressed!!! Beautiful!!!

We got there around noon and went right to the beach. Stupid me thought it was going to be cold and didn't pack any trunks for the boys. It was a gorgeous day and the water was reasonably warm. Warm enough for the kids at least. Luckily I brought an extra pair of shorts and underwear so they were able to just run around in their shorts and not have to worry about getting stuck in wet soggy shorts all day. They loved the ocean! We spent almost two hours running in the waves, collecting shells and other random creatures. These boys gave them a nasty gross starfish that somehow didn't make it home with us?? Hmmmm.....

After the beach we went to Ron Jon's surf shop which was HUGE surfer store. We got the boys and Nate t-shirts and I picked out some new flip flops that I'm going to be so sad to pack away in a couple of days:( The 45 year old stoner that helped us tried to convince me to start the boys skateboarding. I said NOPE not yet "Dude".

When we got home I made the boys spaghetti and WOW did they make a mess. I had to capture that in film as well:)

You might notice Sam's new "do" he has been rocking a faux-hawk because he said he looks like a rocker. HOWEVER I think I have created a monster because he freaks out if anyone even touches his hair. Nate washed it and you would have thought he was scalping the poor child. While we were at Target tonight he got to pick out his own special hair gel to help keep that "do" in place:) Ha!

Our Day @ Magic Kingdom

So we started planning our trip to Magic Kingdom and quickly realized that some people are REALLY (in my humble opinion) Over organized!!! Both Nate and I sat at the table on our laptops scoping out endless websites promising "The best trip to Disney" by following their 100 rules and regulations on where to go first, second, third and so on and so on.......We decided to hell with it we were just going to go and have fun!

We got there at like 9AM, right when the park opens, bought our tickets at the ticket booth and not ahead of time (Big no no accordingly to the websites) and hoped right on a tram and got right into the park. Sam and Parker were SOOOOO excited when they finally saw Cinderella's Castle from the tram!!!

We started in the back at Fantasyland. Did the Dumbo ride, Peter Pan ride and It's A Small World right away then took a little break walked over to some other areas, did more rides, took a break to watch a show, more rides, more eating.....You get the picture. We rented a stroller which was a HUGE help. Neither of them would have been able to walk the whole time. When we left the house we hopped and prayed the boys would make it all day but NEVER thought it possible. We all really wanted to watch the fireworks at 8pm and by golly we made it.

My favorite ride was the African Jungle Safari, Nate's was The Thunder Mountain roller coaster he did but he told the boys it was Aladdin! Both Sam and Parkers favorite ride was "It's A Small World". They did not really care for the Pirates of the carribean ride and I have to admit it was a tad scary even for me. We also LOVED the Buzz Light Year ride because it was kind of like an arcade game and you got to shoot at the robots. Nate and Parks did that one 3 times. Sam was such a trooper because as ya'll have read he normally does NOT enjoy a theme park ride but he went on ALL the rides and some of them I think he REALLY enjoyed. He was a little nervous on the Peter Pan ride because you are flying in a little sailboat and I don't think he was expecting it. Highlight of the entire day for me was the fireworks. I was holding Sam in my arms and he was telling me all the colors and ooohing an ahhing with all of the crowd! Then I would look over at Parks and he was clapping and laughing. Perfect ending!!

I hate to sound cheesy and Cliche but Magic Kingdom REALLY IS Magical. It way exceeded my expectations!!! The rides were phenomenal, we only waited maybe 10 minutes for the longest lines and the boys were so well behaved and just walked around with HUGE smiles on their faces and giggled the whole time. Truly one of the best days of my life!!!

P.S. I took a TON of pictures.......
